MARAFor thousands of years acupuncture has provided relief from pain and suffering. Today, it is considered to be one of the most effective complementary therapies. While western medical doctors monitor the movement of blood and nerve impulses, acupuncturists monitor the flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body.

By inserting fine, sterile needles in points along the body’s energy pathways, the acupuncturist activates and balances the flow of energy and allows the body to regain its natural state of health and wellness.

Members of the Maritime Association of Registered Acupuncturists have a minimum of 4,000 hours of professional training from recognized educational institutions and are highly skilled in the art and science of acupuncture.  A number of extended health insurance companies cover acupuncture treatments provided by our members.
